Educational Mission and Objectives

The Educational Research Objectives and Aims for Human Resource Cultivation of the Graduate School of Theology

The master’s program of the graduate school of theology offers several courses of study: the systematic theology course, which confers, in addition to the master’s degree, the ecclesiastical licentiate in theology (STL) of the Catholic church; the biblical theology course, which provides students with methodological training in biblical studies and awards the degree of master of biblical studies (M.Bib); the Christian education course, which focuses on missionary and pastoral practice and awards the degree of master of divinity (M.Div), and the mission training course, which is designed to form individuals engaged in practical ministries and services within the Church. All courses emphasize a solid and comprehensive understanding of theology as an integrated discipline.

The doctoral program, whose primary purpose is the formation of theological researchers, and which confers the ecclesiastical doctorate in theology (STD), upon fulfillment of the prescribed requirements, incorporates not only advanced research but also structured pedagogical and educational training within the curriculum.

The graduate school of theology aims primarily at the formation of Catholic priests and members of religious institutions, the preparation of teachers of religious education in Catholic schools, and the cultivation of individuals who can contribute to the Church and society through objective and critical reflection of their own Christian faith.
